IP Protection & Trust

Your designs are safe with us.

Shipping CAD files to a manufacturer in China is a legitimate concern. Here is exactly how we handle your intellectual property — from the moment you upload to the day we archive the file.

The NDA Process

Sign first. Files second. No exceptions.

We refuse to look at any CAD file until a mutual NDA is signed by both parties. This is non-negotiable on our side — we want it to be non-negotiable on yours too.

01

Request NDA before files

Email us asking for an NDA. We respond with our standard mutual NDA or sign yours unchanged.

02

Both parties sign first

NDA must be signed by both parties BEFORE you upload any CAD files. No exceptions.

03

Files enter restricted access

Signed NDAs trigger restricted access — only assigned engineers see your files. Logged and audited.

04

Project completes → files archive

After delivery, files are moved to encrypted cold storage and never used for any other purpose.

How we protect your files

Six layers of protection — engineered, not promised.

Encrypted file transfer

All CAD uploads pass through TLS 1.3. Files stored on Cloudflare R2 with server-side AES-256 encryption at rest.

Least-privilege access

Only the engineers actively working on your project can view your files. Access is logged with timestamp and user ID.

No third-party sharing

We never share, sell, or expose your designs to any third party — including sub-suppliers — unless you specifically authorize it in writing.

Right to deletion

Email us anytime to permanently delete your files. We confirm deletion in writing within 48 hours.

No-clone policy

We will never machine your part for anyone else, even if asked. We will never use your design to produce a competing or derivative product.

Custom NDAs welcome

Send us your NDA template and we sign it as-is. No back-and-forth, no legal redlines — your terms, our signature.

Track record

Two decades. Zero IP disputes.

The honest version: No supplier — Chinese, American, German, or otherwise — can prove they will never have an IP incident. What we can prove is a 20-year operating history, ISO 14001 / ISO 9001 process discipline, signed NDAs on every project, and references from clients in 50+ countries who will tell you directly about their experience. If trust is built on evidence, here is ours.

Verifiable Certifications

ISO certifications you can independently verify.

Our certifications are issued by Shenzhen Zhonghuan International Certification Co., Ltd (ZHIC), recognized by the China National Certification and Accreditation Administration (CNCA). Procurement reviewers can verify authenticity by scanning the QR code on each certificate or visiting the issuing body's public registry.

Common questions

Tough questions, direct answers.

Why should I trust a Chinese manufacturer with my IP?
You shouldn't trust anyone blindly. What you should trust is the process: signed NDA before files, encrypted storage, access logs, written deletion policy, and a 20-year operating history without a single IP dispute. We are happy to provide client references in your country — many of our customers will speak to you about their experience.
What happens to my files after the project ends?
Active project files stay in our encrypted production system for 90 days after final delivery (in case you need a repeat order). After 90 days, files move to encrypted cold storage. You can request immediate deletion at any time by emailing the project engineer.
Will you sign my company's NDA, or only your own?
Either. We have a standard mutual NDA available on request, but we also sign customer NDAs as-is in nearly all cases. If your NDA has unusual jurisdictional clauses, our legal team may suggest minor edits — but the core obligations are always honored.
Do you sub-contract any work that exposes our files?
Almost all production happens in our own facility. The only exception is specialized surface treatments (e.g., medical-grade electropolish, certified plating) that require qualified third-party vendors. In those cases, the third party never receives the CAD file — only the finished part and a single-dimension drawing of the surface to be treated.
How do I report a suspected IP concern?
Email security@ginwatecnc.com directly. The CEO and Head of Engineering receive all reports within 24 hours and respond personally. We treat every concern as serious until proven otherwise.
Can I audit your facility before placing an order?
Yes. We host on-site audits for prospective and existing customers. Schedule via your account manager. We also support remote video audits if travel isn't feasible.

Ready to start with confidence?

Request our NDA before sending files. We will sign yours instead if you prefer.
