Four assembly categories — pick what fits your build
Mechanical Sub-Assembly
CNC machined + sheet metal + plastic components combined into one functional sub-unit. Threaded fasteners, press-fits, dowel-pin alignment, Loctite + torque-controlled tightening. Common: enclosures, mounts, fixtures, jigs, bracket assemblies.
Robot arm joint assemblies, equipment bracket weldments, machine guards, fixture plates with hardware
Electromechanical Assembly
Sub-assemblies that combine mechanical hardware with wiring, PCBs, motors, sensors, and connectors. Crimping, soldering, harness assembly, board mounting, continuity testing. We don't fabricate PCBs but we install and wire them per your drawing.
Control panel assemblies, sensor pods, motor housings with wiring, control box builds
Box Build / Turnkey
Complete product builds from your BOM. We source the parts you don't supply, assemble per work instructions, test against your QC plan, label, package retail-ready, and ship direct to your warehouse or end customer.
Branded retail-ready products, complete instrument packages, fully-tested machine units
Kitting + Pre-Packaging
Components organized into matched sets (kit), labeled, and packaged for distribution or downstream assembly. Often used for: dealer kits, service kits, retail bundles, JIT delivery to your factory floor.
Service replacement kits, OEM dealer kits, hardware bundle packs, multi-SKU consolidation
Six things you get with Ginwate's assembly
Trained assembly workforce
Cross-trained operators with documented work instructions per build. Training records maintained per ISO 9001 process. Skilled-up for soldering, crimping, torquing per project requirements.
QC inline + final
Statistical sampling per AQL 1.0 (general inspection). 100% functional test where specified. Final visual inspection per drawing. FAI report on first article + ongoing process records.
BOM management
We manage your bill-of-materials, source missing components, track inventory, and flag any shortages 2 weeks before they impact production. Vendor consolidation reduces your purchasing overhead.
Torque-controlled assembly
Calibrated torque drivers per fastener spec (recorded per build). Press-fit operations with force-distance verification. Thread-locker (Loctite) applied per drawing. Lubricants per O-ring spec.
Custom packaging
Foam inserts, branded boxes, polybags with custom prints, ESD-safe packaging for electronics, multi-pack consolidations. We design + source packaging that meets your retail or shipping requirements.
Direct-to-customer shipping
DDP shipments worldwide. Sea freight to your warehouse, or drop-shipping direct to your end customer with your branding. Returns / RMA handling available for production-volume clients.
BOM to ship, step by step
BOM review + quote
Send the bill-of-materials, assembly drawings, work instructions (if any), and target volume. Engineering team reviews, identifies which components we'll source vs which you'll supply, and quotes per-unit assembly cost + lead time within 4 hours.
Work instruction development
If you don't have detailed assembly instructions yet, we draft them. Step-by-step pictures, torque values per fastener, test pass criteria. You review and approve before production. Instructions become controlled documents in our quality system.
Pilot run + FAI
First 5-25 units assembled per the work instruction. Dimensional + functional inspection on every pilot unit. Photos shared. You approve the pilot batch before we ramp to production cadence.
Production assembly
Daily / weekly assembly cadence per your forecast. Inline QC samples per AQL. 100% functional test if your spec calls for it. Process records (torque values, test results, lot numbers) retained for 7 years per ISO 9001.
Package + ship
Foam-packed, branded labeled, palletized if needed. DHL/FedEx/UPS for express; sea freight for high-volume. Direct-to-customer drop-shipping available. Full export documentation, COC, and certs in each shipment.
Why teams pick Ginwate for contract assembly

Your dedicated production engineer is one email away. No layer of account managers. Same person from quote through ship who knows your product cold.
Documentation included
FAI on first article. Process records per build. Material certs + supplier docs aggregated. Quality records retained 7 years. RoHS / REACH / Conflict Minerals declarations on request.
Custom packaging + branding
Branded boxes, foam inserts, polybags with prints, retail-ready packaging. We design and source packaging that meets your retail, ESD, or shipping requirements.
Contract assembly FAQ
What kinds of assembly do you offer?
+
Four main categories: (1) Mechanical sub-assembly — combining machined/sheet/plastic parts into a functional unit with fasteners and Loctite. (2) Electromechanical — adding wiring, PCBs, motors, sensors to mechanical hardware. (3) Box build / turnkey — complete product assembly from BOM, ready to ship to end customer. (4) Kitting and pre-packaging — matched component sets for service kits or distribution.
Do I need to supply all the parts, or can you source them?
+
Either. For mechanical components we either machine in-house (CNC, sheet metal, plastic molding) or source from our vetted vendor network. For electronic components (PCBs, semiconductors, displays) we typically source per your BOM with named-supplier approval — we don't substitute parts without your sign-off. You can also supply parts directly if you have existing inventory or vendor relationships.
How much does contract assembly cost?
+
Per-unit assembly labor typically $1-$25 depending on assembly complexity and step count. Simple 5-step mechanical assembly: $1-3/unit. Complex electromechanical with testing: $8-25/unit. Box build with custom packaging: $5-15/unit + packaging. Material cost is separate. The cost driver is mostly assembly time per unit + test cycles.
What's your MOQ for assembly services?
+
No fixed MOQ. We routinely assemble batches as small as 10 units for pilot runs or low-volume products. Small batches (10-100 units) have higher per-unit labor cost (no economies of scale on training/setup); medium batches (500-5,000 units) get our best per-unit pricing.
Do you handle electronics assembly and PCB integration?
+
Yes — we integrate PCBs into mechanical assemblies with crimping, soldering (hand and selective), harness routing, connector termination, and continuity testing. We don't fabricate PCBs (we source those from board houses), but we install them. ESD-controlled assembly environment available on request. AS9100 process available for aerospace electromechanical assemblies.
Can you do testing and QC during assembly?
+
Yes. Standard inline QC sampling per AQL 1.0 (general inspection level II). For products requiring 100% test (medical devices, safety-critical assemblies), we set up a test station with pass/fail criteria you define. Functional tests, leak tests, electrical continuity, dimensional checks — all documented per unit. Failed units are quarantined for engineering review.
What documentation comes with assembled products?
+
First Article Inspection (FAI) on lead unit. Process records per build (torque values, test pass/fail, lot numbers, build date). Material certs and supplier documentation aggregated. Certificate of Conformity for the finished assembly. RoHS/REACH/Conflict Minerals declarations on request. ISO 13485 DHR (Device History Record) for medical.
Can you drop-ship directly to my customers?
+
Yes. We can fulfill from our Dongguan facility direct to your end customer with your branding, your packaging, and your return address — invisible to the customer that we're in the supply chain. Sea or air freight per cost / urgency. Returns / RMA handling included for production-volume clients on request.
How fast can you ramp up assembly production?
+
Pilot batch (5-25 units): 2-3 weeks from BOM approval. First production batch (100-500 units): 3-4 weeks after pilot approval. Steady-state cadence: weekly or per your forecast. We don't gate by volume — we'll do 50 units/week or 5,000 units/week using the same quality system.
Do you offer custom packaging design?
+
Yes. Foam inserts (custom-cut to your part geometry), branded boxes (printed to your art), polybags with custom prints, ESD-safe packaging for electronics, multi-pack consolidations. Packaging cost is per-unit + a one-time tooling cost ($300-$2,000 depending on print method and packaging complexity). We design and source packaging end-to-end.
