Pre-Plated Steels
Aluminized, electrogalvanized, tin-plate for specific corrosion / aesthetic requirements.
How a sheet metal order flows
DXF or 3D file upload
Send flat-pattern DXF (preferred for cost) or 3D STEP file. Engineer reviews bend sequence, material thickness, hole spacing-to-edge ratios, and tooling. Quote in 4 hours with material + finish breakdown.
DFM review (free)
Most common DFM issues we flag: bend radius too tight for material thickness, holes too close to bends (will distort), interior corners need slot relief, weld joints need design changes for accessibility. We send a marked-up drawing with each quote.
Laser cut + CNC bend
Material nested for efficiency. Laser cuts flat patterns, parts deburred if required (most stainless and aluminum cuts come out edge-ready). Press brake operator bends per drawing, first article verified for angle and flange length.
Weld / hardware / finish
Welding done by AWS-qualified welder. PEM hardware inserted on cold-press. Finishing (powder coat, anodize, paint) applied. We do not skip these steps — visible welds get polished, powder coat is hot-cured to 200°C.
Inspection + ship
FAI on first article. Dimensional inspection + finish quality check. Foam-packed, shipped DHL/FedEx/UPS or sea freight for large enclosures. Most orders door-to-door in 5-10 days globally.

Sheet metal fabrication FAQ
What's the maximum thickness you can laser cut?
+
Our 12kW fiber laser cuts mild steel to 25 mm, stainless to 20 mm, aluminum to 20 mm, brass to 12 mm, copper to 8 mm. For thicker materials we use plasma cutting (up to 50 mm steel) or waterjet (any thickness, any material) — both available in-house.
What's your bend tolerance on sheet metal?
+
Standard bend tolerance: ±0.1° on bend angle, ±0.1 mm on flange length. Tighter is possible (±0.05° on critical-fit parts) but requires CMM verification + sometimes a custom bend tool. We always achieve tighter tolerances on shorter flanges (<100 mm); long flanges (>1 m) hold ±0.2 mm typically due to material springback variation.
What materials do you fabricate?
+
Cold-rolled steel, hot-rolled steel, galvanized steel, stainless 304/316, aluminum 5052/6061, brass C260/C360, copper C110, and pre-plated steels (aluminized, electrogalvanized, tin-plate). Material thickness range: 0.5 mm to 25 mm for laser cutting; 0.8 mm to 8 mm for press brake bending.
Can you weld aluminum and stainless steel?
+
Yes. AWS-qualified welders for both. Aluminum TIG using AlSi or 5356 filler depending on the alloy combination. Stainless TIG with matching filler (308L for 304, 316L for 316). We can also do MIG aluminum on production-volume frames. Visible-surface welds are dressed smooth or polished to spec. Spot welding for thin-gauge enclosures.
Do you do finishing in-house?
+
Yes. Powder coating (any RAL or Pantone color, hot-cured to 200°C), wet paint, electroplating (zinc, nickel, chrome, gold), anodizing (Type II decorative, Type III hard-coat) for aluminum, passivation for stainless, silkscreen and pad printing for branding and labels. We pre-compensate dimensions for plating thickness so finished parts hit drawing.
Can you install PEM fasteners and inserts?
+
Yes. We stock PEM nuts, studs, standoffs in the most common sizes (M3-M8, #4-40 to 1/4-20 imperial). Self-clinching hardware installed on cold-press for repeatability. Heat-set inserts for plastic parts. Loose hardware can also be included in the shipment if you prefer to install yourself.
How much does sheet metal fabrication cost?
+
Single-piece prototypes typically $30-$300 depending on material, complexity, and finish. Low volume (10-100 pcs) drops to $15-$150/piece. Production volumes (500-5,000 pcs) range $3-$60/piece. Material thickness, bend count, weld inches, and finish are the main cost drivers. Send your DXF for an exact quote in 4 hours.
What CAD file formats do you accept?
+
Best: DXF (flat pattern) — fastest to quote and cut. Also accepted: STEP / IGES (3D), SolidWorks, AutoCAD DWG, PDF (good drawing only, for simple parts). We can convert from 3D to flat pattern for you at no charge if needed, but providing the DXF saves you time on quote turnaround.
Do you do welded assemblies and weldments?
+
Yes. Complex welded enclosures, frames, machine bases, weldments. Pre-fit / tack-weld review available — we'll send photos before final welds so you can confirm fit. Robotic MIG for high-volume frames; manual TIG/MIG for prototypes and short runs. Stress-relief annealing on heavy weldments by request.
How fast can you deliver sheet metal parts?
+
Standard lead times: 5-7 working days for prototype/low volume, 10-15 days for production runs (500-5,000 pcs), 15-25 days for large enclosures with multi-finish and assembly. Rush (24-48 hour) available for simple laser-cut parts when capacity allows. Quote response within 4 hours of file upload.
