The Challenge

Edit this case study in /admin/case-studies. A medical device manufacturer needed surgical-grade 316L stainless housings with complete material traceability and electropolish surface finish to Ra 0.4 µm.

Our Approach

We sourced certified 316L bar stock with mill test reports, ran the parts on our Mazak turn-mill center to keep tolerances tight in a single chucking, and partnered with a qualified medical electropolish house for final finishing.

The Results

  • Full traceability from heat lot to finished part
  • Surface finish achieved Ra 0.32 µm (better than Ra 0.4 µm spec)
  • ISO 13485-aligned documentation package included
  • Repeat order placed within 60 days of first delivery
