Tolerance tiers — what's realistic
When buyers see "±0.001 mm" on a marketing page they often assume it applies to every feature. The honest answer below — ±0.001 mm is achievable but requires the right process. Standard milling lands at ±0.05 mm without special fixturing.
| Process tier | Tolerance achievable |
|---|---|
| Standard production milling/turning | ±0.05 mm (ISO 2768-m) |
| Tight production | ±0.025 mm |
| Precision (5-axis, controlled temp) | ±0.010 mm |
| Grinding / EDM | ±0.005 mm |
| Special process (jig grinding, special fixturing) | ±0.001 mm |

Certifications
- ISO 9001:2015 — Quality Management System, cert no. 73025Q06090123R0S, valid through 2028-06-19
- ISO 14001:2015 — Environmental Management System, cert no. 73025E05120042R0S, valid through 2028-06-06
- Both issued by ZHIC (Shenzhen Zhonghuan International Certification)
Lead times (typical)
- Quote response: 1–12 hours during China business hours, 24 h max
- Prototype CNC parts: 3–7 days from drawing approval
- Production runs (CNC): 2–4 weeks for typical lots (100–1000 units)
- Injection molding tooling: 7–15 days for aluminum; 4–6 weeks for steel
- 3D printing: 24–72 hours
What we don't accept
Direct list of work we'll decline — saves your time and ours. We'd rather refuse a quote than over-promise.
- ×Parts requiring AMS/Nadcap-certified surface treatments we don't hold (e.g. anodizing per MIL-A-8625 Type II Class 2 from a Nadcap-certified provider — we can quote with a sub-tier partner but the lead time grows)
- ×Single-piece quantities under USD $50 unit value when shipped DHL Express — minimum order economics don't work below this threshold
- ×Reverse-engineering from a physical sample with no drawings or scan — we need at least a hand sketch with critical dims
- ×Welded aluminum pressure vessels — we can fabricate but cannot supply ASME-stamped certifications
- ×ITAR-controlled defense parts — we are not ITAR-registered; commercial aerospace + dual-use parts are fine
